We have conducted a study analysing all of @itsdanielmac’s videos to reveal the most popular occupations of 155 supercar owners with motors averaging £204,736. They also gathered the data for the favourite supercar manufacturer of each occupation.

@itsdanielmac has taken #CarTikTok by storm with his popular videos asking what supercar owners do for a living. He has grown a huge follower base of 10.2 million and amassed 138.9 million likes on his videos.


Property is The Most Popular Work Industry of Supercar Owners

According to the study, a job in property is the most likely way you will be able to own a supercar. With an average car price of £282,377, an occupation in property is definitely one to consider for those looking to earn megabucks.

With the most expensive car on the list priced at £2.3 million, you’ll definitely want to be following in that millionaire’s footsteps with a job in real estate to get your hands on your very own Bugatti Chiron.

24% of those interviewed by Daniel Mac working in real estate own either a Mclaren or Ferrari and 14% own a Lamborghini.

One of those property workers who owns a £144,000 Ferrari California gave some great advice for those looking for a lifestyle like his: “Work in a business that you can learn enough to start your own business”.



Entrepreneurs & Working In Technology Is The 2nd Best Way To Owning a Supercar 

Seeking to make a major profit? Starting your own company or working in technology are the second most popular ways to make enough cash to splash out on the likes of a Lamborghini, McLaren, or Bentley.

With the average cost of the car for those interviewed working in technology at £161,950, it could well be the industry to consider going into. 54% of those working in technology explained they worked specifically in internet technology or cybersecurity. The most popular car brand for those working in technology is a Mclaren with over 23% driving one.

The average cost of a car for those entrepreneurs interviewed is £5,295 less than those working in technology at £156,655. We found that 31% of those entrepreneurs surveyed by Daniel drive a Lamborghini.

20% of Supercar Owners Work in Sales, Healthcare and Social Media

In third position, we have those working in sales, healthcare and social media. Workers in healthcare have the highest average car price out of the three at £231,951. Those in sales follow this with an average of £159,905 and then social media at £154,244.

What is the most popular car type for each of the three job roles? 

  • 27% of those who work in sales have a Lamborghini 
  • 27% of those who work in healthcare owned a Mclaren 
  • 27% of those who work in social media have a Ferrari





Those Working In The Music industry Own The Most Expensive Cars

With an average car price of £425,240, those working in Music lead the way when it comes to the price of their supercars. English record producer, Michael Blakey, has a net worth of $60 million and owns an astonishing Ferrari F12 Novitec N-Largo worth £529,200.

Another interviewee of Daniel’s works in Trap music and owns a £2.16 million Buggati Chiron, the world’s fastest car in the world.

The cost of cars is based on MSRP in @itsdanielmac's TikTok videos and those videos that did not include price research was done by Vehicle Contracts to find an approximate* MSRP price for these supercars. *Some may be worth more or less due to prices being based on the base models and recent model’s pricing. Statistics were converted from dollars to pounds in July 2021 (1 US dollar is equivalent to 0.72 GBP).
