A hard credit check happens when a company makes a complete search of your credit report. Each hard check is recorded on your report, so any company searching it will be able to see that you’ve applied for credit.
Too many hard credit checks over a short period of time can affect your credit score for six months, reducing your ability to get approved for credit in the future.
If you apply for credit with one of our panel of funders, the company we apply you to will do a hard check of your credit report to see your suitability. For information on which funder, we proposed you to please ask your account manager at Vehicle Contracts Ltd.
Vehicle Contracts Limited does not charge a fee for sourcing your car finance. Should you be accepted for finance, you will enter into a lease agreement with one of our panel fund providers. We are paid a commission by the finance provider, once the agreement is live. The commission we receive maybe pre-set but can vary and may impact the amount payable by the customer. In-line with new legislation, if you would like Vehicle Contracts Ltd to disclose any potential commission please make your request in writing to your VC contact or write to ‘The Compliance Manager’, at our office address.
An Arrangement Fee will be applied. Charges for excess mileage and/or damage may apply at the end of the contract.
Vehicle Contracts offers advice solely on Contract Hire and Personal Contract Hire from a panel of finance companies.
