Omoda and Jaecoo operate under the same umbrella of Cherry International and were designed especially for the export markets. The two manufacturers are distinctly different and are aimed at different buyers. Omoda is focused on futuristic crossover SUVs with a heavy emphasis on technology, sustainability, and accessibility. Meant more for urban highway driving and a younger, more fashion conscious buyer. Jaecoo is a bigger bulkier car, with the aim to be able to off-road, appealing to a different buyer, the urban elites, who want rugged and reliable. You can pre-order to lease the Omoda 7 and 9 and the Jaecoo 5.
IM Motors, which stands for Intelligent Mobility, was co-founded by SAIC MOTOR and offer high-end luxury electric cars. The L6 which can be pre-ordered is an intelligent mid-large SUV with streamlined aesthetics that is effortless and easy to drive. The interior is luxurious and is meant to be like a home away from home and place where relaxation meets comfort. Their tag line is ‘the journey, not the destination’.
Zeekr and Lynk and Co are two companies that operate under the Zeekr Group umbrella, which is also part of the Geely Holding Group. They hope that by combining these two companies, they can better streamline efficiencies and create better competition. Zeekr predominately focus on the premium new energy mid to large cars that are fully electric. Lynk and Co make smaller urban cars with a lower price tag but still great electric mobility. The Zeekr 001 and the Lynk and Co 01 can be pre-ordered for release later this year.
