The Seal U Estate from BYD is a compact SUV that is new to the market from the Chinese manufacturer, Build Your Dreams.
The Seal U Estate is a Plug in hybrid and offers up to 75 miles using electricity only, which means if you are an urban driver, you may never need to switch out of EV mode.
The Seal U Estate comes in a few trims and each offers something a little different. 'Design' and 'Boost' have a 1.5 litre petrol engine and an 18.3 kWh battery with an expected range of 43 miles. The 'Comfort' has a 1.5 litre engine and a 26.6 kWh battery, offering a longer range of up to 75 miles. Each offers fast 18 kW DC charging, taking you from 30-80% in just over 30 minutes.
The interior of the Seal U is packed with tech and offers an almost futuristic feel. There is a rotatable touchscreen that appears to float on the centre console. This is the central control hub for all connectivity and infotainment and seamlessly connects intelligent voice and offers the driver real time information at a glance. The head-up display also projects essential information directly to the windscreen to help with increased road awareness.
With multifunctional seats that have the capacity to heat and cool, as well as a memory function so it can remember your preferred seating position, means your journey will always be comfortable.
