September 2009 Lombard Vehicle Management
On the 8th September 2009 as part of Royal Bank of Scotland's (RBS Group) Strategic review, the decision was taken for Lombard to withdraw from the car leasing market. No further business will be accepted by the company for personal or business leasing. All customers who have Lombard agreements will not be effected, if you need to amend your contract or arrange collection of the vehicle, please contact VC in the usual way.
2009/10
The decision in 2009 of Lombard and Hitachi to withdraw from the market and the decision by Lloyds to consolidate it's Lex and Lloyds Autolease business, will have fundamental changes in the vehicle finance market.
The withdrawal of 'competition' from the market will result in fewer deals being arranged in the market. However Vehicle Contracts Ltd (VC) has a strong working relationship with all the finance companies remaining in the market.
In the last qtr of 2009 and for 2010 VC will continue to arrange special 'One Off' deals for their customers. If any companies, or individuals, are looking to arrange discounted rentals for a specific make or model, we will still be able to arrange the most competitive terms in the market.
